    Description

Offered for bidding is a lovely ceramic handled urn-shaped PLANTER made by Brush Pottery. It has a beautiful dark brown glossy drip glaze, called Onyx Glaze, and I'm told it was made sometime between the 1910s to the 1930s. This planter is well made, and quite heavy.  It is unmarked.
It measures 9 inches (22.9cm) from handle to handle, and stands 6 1/4 inches (15.9cm) tall at the rim. Opening in the top is 4 1/2 inches (11.4cm) in diameter. A U.S. quarter is shown in the third picture, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance.
The planter is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are a few faint scratches in the glaze, and barely visible all-over crazing.
