KENNARD & JENKS STERLING SILVER AESTHETIC MOVEMENT HAMMERED PITCHER 1878
Honeycomb hammered finish, bearing
KENNARD & JENKS trademark the word Sterling and and the
Production number 423, in superb original condition, no damages or repairs.
Period CPL monogram on the top edge of the spout. On the opposite side of the spout arms that show
a Stag ca-bossed with a V surmounted by by what appears to be a telescope.

Luwis Jenks opened his Boston shop in 1872. He was already one of the foremost designers in Boston.
The firm was the only silver shop in Boston creating aesthetic movement silver in the Japanese taste.
Gorham hired him in 1879 and acquired the entire firm in 1880.
This Pitcher is 7 7/8 inches tall and weighing18.1 troy  ounces.
In fine condition. Rich sterling patina throughout. Retains original detail.
